Rev. James Tindall Discusses Thomas Dorsey

The Rev. James Tindall tells how Thomas A. Dorsey, considered by many to be the father of black gospel blues, drew inspiration from the Metropolitan Spiritual Church for the title of his song: "Jesus is the Light of the World," which is the motto of the Kansas City church, known for having one of the first choirs to broadcast over the radio in 1925.
